Superior mild shampoo with fresh light scentMy own children have long since grown up (and no grandbabies to try this product on yet); however, my husband has always washed his hair with baby shampoo every day as part of his morning shower, so we tested Johnson’s Baby Shampoo’s suitability for cleaning adult hair. Johnson’s has changed the shape of its bottle since I first saw this product in the stores decades ago; it’s currently in a slightly squatter, “teardrop”-shaped bottle which is easily gripped by wet hands in the shower or bath, but still fits the small corner “bottle-holder cup” shelf in our shower. This product has a light, fresh, pleasant scent which wasn’t overpowering, and which wasn’t at all objectionable to “manly men” like my husband.
Normally, our family isn’t at all brand-conscious about frequently-used everyday products like baby shampoo, and usually find store brand or generic versions to be quite adequate for our needs. However, my spouse commented after using the Johnson’s Baby Shampoo that, in this case, the name-brand version seemed to have done a superior job of cleaning his hair, compared to the house-brand and generic baby shampoos he has used in the past. (I used Johnson’s Baby Shampoo on my own hair while we were on vacation recently, and found that it cleaned my hair just as well as non-conditioning shampoos made specifically for adults. Since I have a lot more hair than my spouse, though, I would follow up use of this product with a good conditioner when using it on adult hair at home.)
If your household budget allows for name-brand shampoos at all, Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is a mild, gentle, lightly-scented product suitable for daily use by the entire family. This one product (plus a conditioner of your choice) can replace a shelf-full of specialty name-brand shampoos for individual family members (such as the one we’ve had in our own home). Recommended!

Not just for babies.Received my 13.6 fl. Oz container of Johnson\u2019s Baby Shampoo with Gentle Tear Free Formula and have to say that the “mild, gentle clean that won’t irritate your baby’s eyes during bath time” also applies to an old codger like me, at age 77 (going on 78). I also have no complaints about “a tear-free hypoallergenic shampoo, pediatrician-tested and free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and dyes”. The older I get the better care I want to take to avoid eye irritation. My eyes are still good and I want to keep them that way.
I also found that Johnson Baby Shampoo softens my beard and makes for a much smoother electric shave with my wet/dry; then rinses off leaving my face smooth and clean.
With only myself to test this shampoo upon I have to say that Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is not just for babies; it’s universally useful, effective and, as advertised, “gentle to the eyes as pure water”.

Not just for babies!I love this shampoo, it really is for all ages, my husband and boys all have sensitive skin and are also dandruff prone and they have no issues when using this shampoo, plus I love the smell, brings back all the memories of when my boys were babies. I will also use it on myself about once a week when I just want clean feeling hair, I have longer hair but after a while of using both shampoo and conditioner my hair tends to feel weighed down, when I use the baby shampoo it leaves my hair feeling lightweight and clean. I have stayed away from baby shampoo for quite a few years after finding out it had some not so good ingredients, but I have done some research and it looks lime they have removed all the bad stuff.

Wonderful scent, great shampooI love Johnson products and this baby shampoo is another hit. It smells soft, clean and delicate. Perfect scent for a baby shampoo. Mild scent not overpowering at all. Exactly what a baby needs. I love to get a whiff of the scent whenever I carry the baby. Gentle tear free formula is a true claim. It is specifically formulated for babies, no harsh chemicals, no parabens, sulfates or dyes. It is hypoallergenic and tested by pediatricians. It is designed for babies but I enjoy using it and I actually also use it to bathe my puppy. It leaves him clean, soft and I know it does not harm his eyes. I would not dare risk and use a different baby shampoo brand. I trust the Johnson brand years of experience over the new copy cats. Every baby deserves the best not an imitation. This bottle is easy to use. This has a well made sturdy, easy to open and close the lid. I have dropped the container several times and it has not broken or cracked. The shampoo bottle size is easy to hold and use as well and a convenient size to store on a shelf. Taking into consideration these factors is why I recommend this wonderful shampoo.

Great For Fur Babies Too!My babies are all grown up but I buy this for my little Chihuahua so he doesn’t get the burn from soap in his eyes when bathing. I have always found this product’s original formula to be the best for babies and fur babies. It is a gentle soap that has very soft suds and I have never had any tears from using this tear free formula.
It does not irritate the skin either and make the skin itch. This is a nice size bottle of 13.6 ounces and I was so glad to receive this product for a review. My little Chihuahua had a nice happy bath with no tears thanks you Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo. I recommend this product to any one with small children are even for your fur babies so you can wash their face around the eyes without burning their eyes from soap or shampoo.

Great funhave 4 great grand kids 7-2 all girls and they love their bath. all like to play in water. this is great just tried it and two were here loved it said smell good, does have a clean smell nothing is so great as to have a little one on your lap with clean smelling hair and this is a great one. I love the shape of the bottle and such a nice large size. we have curly hair straight hair long hair and it works just great

Applied for the whole family.This item we all have experienced with it if ones are the parents. This has been used since my boy was born, and to continue into childhood and adulthood. And my wife and I have been using it since. Very gentle. This size is small and great for a short trip, travel.

The Best!I’m not even sure how much, if any that I really need to say about the Johnson’s baby shampoo. This shampoo has stayed the test of time and has been around for quite a long time now with some very good results. I have used it on my kids in the past and I have just loved it. It is very gentle on your baby’s hair while you are bathing them and it rinses out very easily and completely. Then you’re rewarded with a very soft head of hair with a great smell. I liked this shampoo so much that I even use it on myself and from time to time my dogs too. It does wonders for their smell and makes the hugs even that much better. This is one product that I can say without a doubt is GREAT!

Same great product as everMany companies have changed their product recipes, but not so much with Johnson & Johnson. This bottle of baby shampoo seems to be the same as it always has been.
It is soft & gentle on the hair, & has that fresh smell to it that lasts quite a long time.
You don’t have to have a baby or young child to use Johnson’s & Johnson’s No More Tears Baby Shampoo, it’s great for adult as well. It does thoroughly clean your hair, so keep that in mind. I like to use it as a body wash as well as a shampoo when I use this. It’s good to change your shampoo from time to time.
My honey’s hair isn’t as thick as mine, & she enjoys it as a nice switch as a summer shampoo. Being so gentle, I haven’t see it strip coloring out of the hair, on anyone I know, who has used it on colored hair.
I wouldn’t get in your eyes, even though it says as gentle as pure water, any soap in your eyes isn’t a good idea. Sometimes when you wash, a little may get there, & this is shampoo won’t be as stinging as other shampoos. I can’t say, I’m not a chemist, just an observation.
